Open-Source Tool SkillUI: Extract Website Design Systems for Claude
tom_doerr · x · 2026-08-07
An open-source CLI tool named SkillUI is gaining attention. The tool can crawl any website, Git repo, or local codebase to extract its complete design system—including colors, typography, spacing, animations, and components—and package it into a folder structure directly readable by Claude Code.
Users simply launch Claude in the output directory, allowing the AI to automatically rebuild the UI based on the exact extracted design system. The tool supports pure static analysis without API keys, and combined with Playwright, it can perform full visual extraction.
