AI Agent Inference Costs Drop: Running Hot for a Month is Now Cheaper Than a Burrito
intellectronica · x · 2026-08-07
With the continuous drop in token prices, the cost of running AI Agents has reached incredibly low levels.
Developers point out that you can now run an agent hot for a full month and still have some change left over for a burrito. This "too cheap to meter" marginal cost means that for the vast majority of users and lightweight applications, there is virtually no price barrier to entry for compute and inference consumption anymore.
