Claurst: Open-Source Terminal Coding Agent Built in Rust
tom_doerr · x · 2026-08-07
Claurst is an open-source, multi-provider terminal coding agent built from the ground up in Rust, recently surpassing 10,000 stars. It started as a clean-room reimplementation of Claude Code and has evolved into a TUI pair programmer.
The tool is designed to be fast, memory-efficient, and completely free of telemetry. Now in Beta, its core agent, multi-provider routing, and TUI are stable enough for daily use, featuring a rich UI, plugin system, chat forking, and memory consolidation.
