Open-source memory tool daimon tags agent memories as verbatim, inferred, or unverified; forget actually deletes
Sea-Perception1619 · reddit · 2026-08-07
Developer introduces daimon (Apache-2.0), an open-source memory layer for AI coding agents. It writes checkpoints at session end and renders briefings at start, tagging each item as verbatim (exact quote, verified deterministically), inferred (model conclusion), or untagged. Corroboration count is separate and doesn't promote tags. Forget actually deletes. Author shares recall relevance: 34.0% (CI 22.4-47.8) but regraded to 17.1%, acknowledging sample bias.
