CopilotKit Launches Channels SDK: Connect AI Agents to Slack, Teams with One Line of Code
techNmak · x · 2026-08-07
CopilotKit has launched the open-source Channels SDK (MIT licensed), enabling a "write once, deploy everywhere" approach for AI agents across messaging apps like Slack, Teams, and WhatsApp.
Key Features:
- Connects any AG-UI compatible agent to major chat platforms with native UI rendering (e.g., Slack's Block Kit).
- Supports live streaming replies, triggering human-in-the-loop approvals, and user-based authentication with per-user learning.
- Built on the AG-UI protocol adopted by Google, Microsoft, and AWS. Compatible with popular frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, and Google ADK.
By calling a single createChannel() handler, developers can avoid the heavy lifting of building separate bots, handling different webhooks, and managing card formats for every platform.
