celld: Self-Hosted Distributed Durable Objects Slashing Cloud Costs

celld is an open-source, self-hosted, distributed Durable Objects project. It allows your Workers and Durable Objects code to run unchanged while keeping data in a bucket you own.
Designed for high density and low cost, each resident cell uses only 4MB of RAM, allowing 1,000 cells per 8GB node. Inactive cells cost practically nothing. Compared to the official offering, celld is orders of magnitude cheaper at scale. Developers have already successfully integrated it with Google Cloud's GCS and Cloud Run.
