A developer shared a hardcore cyberpunk experiment attempting to give humans a 'new sense.' Inspired by Australian aboriginal languages that use absolute cardinal directions, previous projects used vibrating belts or anklets to let users sense true north. However, this sense of direction disappeared once the hardware was taken off.
To acquire this ability more permanently, the developer built an app last year to solve this limitation. They also included a funny meme about eating magnetized iron filings to never need a compass again, poking fun at their geeky spirit.
