Olares: Open-Source Personal Cloud OS for Self-Hosted AI Agents
tom_doerr · x · 2026-08-07
Olares is an open-source personal cloud OS designed to replace public cloud services with self-hosted alternatives. Built on Kubernetes, it allows users to deploy local infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS layers on their own hardware.
It natively supports deploying various AI tools and agents, such as running LLMs via Ollama, generating images with ComfyUI, and using private search tools like Vane. The project aims to provide a unified platform for compute, storage, networking, and app management for individuals and small teams.
