Breaking the AI Memory Wall: CXL Moves to Deployment, Marvell Well Positioned

CXL (Compute Express Link) technology is transitioning from evaluation to real-world deployment across hyperscale environments. As AI workloads rapidly increase the demand for memory capacity and bandwidth for context and KV caches, memory has emerged as a critical constraint on AI performance and scaling.
CXL enables memory disaggregation and sharing over PCIe-based links, allowing hyperscalers to optimize TCO by integrating memory and inference workloads into custom compute clusters. Deployments are expected to begin next year and build into 2028. Marvell, with its comprehensive portfolio spanning memory expansion and near-memory acceleration, is strategically well-positioned in this evolving market.
