Netlify Goes All-In on Open Models, Supporting DeepSeek and Kimi
DavidWells · x · 2026-08-07
Netlify officially announced full support for open large language models. Through Agent Runners and AI Gateway, developers can now use open-weight models like DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, and Kimi directly on Netlify's production infrastructure.
This move allows developers to build applications using both commercial and open models flexibly on the same platform without being locked into a single vendor. Users can already seamlessly try the latest open models like Kimi K3 in this environment.
