Hermes Agent Removes Polymarket Skill From Defaults Over Fake Bet Controversy
Teknium · x · 2026-08-07
Teknium from NousResearch announced that the Polymarket skill has been moved from Hermes Agent's built-in defaults to optional.
This decision was driven by Polymarket's recent deceptive-marketing controversy. A WSJ investigation revealed Polymarket paid influencers around $1.9M to stage fake winning bets using dummy copycat sites. Following overwhelming user demand, the team decided to strip it from the core bundle.
