OpenAI Launches Agent Plugins Open Standard with Cursor, GitHub

OpenAI announced Agent Plugins, an open standard developed in collaboration with AWS, Cursor, GitHub, Microsoft, and Vercel. It allows developers to build a plugin once and run it across all compatible agent clients.
The standard packages Agent Skills and supports MCP server configurations in a shared format, streamlining cross-ecosystem agent development.
