Meta AI Competes in Five STEM Olympiads, Achieves Perfect Physics Scores and Math Gold

To evaluate genuine reasoning progress, Meta entered its AI models in five STEM Olympiad competitions.
Under strict conditions that disallowed all tool use (no search, coding, or calculators), the models achieved perfect scores in the theory exams of both the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) and International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). Additionally, they won a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and reached gold-medal-level performance at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) and Romanian Masters of Mathematics (RMM).
