Simple AI Open-Sources 2,000 Hours of High-Fidelity Robot Manipulation Data
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-08-06
Beijing Simple AI has open-sourced HiFi-UMI-2K, a high-fidelity bimanual manipulation dataset containing over 2,000 hours of human data across 480+ collection scenes.
Surprisingly, policies trained exclusively on this human data matched the performance of those trained with real-robot teleoperation data within a few percentage points. This suggests that with sufficient fidelity, the traditional reliance on "real-robot data anchors" for deployment might no longer be necessary.
