One popular answer to the Fermi Paradox suggests that advanced civilizations develop AI and lose interest in space travel. However, a researcher now argues the exact opposite.
The research points out that AI, robotics, and cheap probes actually make space exploration much easier. If true, this means the Fermi Paradox—our failure to find other civilizations—becomes even more perplexing.
