NVIDIA released Cosmos 3, an open-source family of physical AI foundation models designed to understand physical environments, predict future states, and generate action data.

- Architecture: Built on a mixture-of-transformers architecture, combining vision reasoning, world generation, and action prediction.
- Variants: Includes Super (64B for high-fidelity), Nano (16B for efficient reasoning/post-training), and Edge (4B for on-device robotics).
- License: Available under Linux Foundation’s OpenMDW 1.1, allowing post-training on proprietary data and hardware.

Cosmos 3 ranks No. 1 on Artificial Analysis for text-to-image/image-to-video, PAI-Bench for world generation, and RoboLab for robot policies.
