AI Agents Reproduced 2,000 ICML Papers, Falsifying Over One-Third

Hugging Face officially wrapped up the 2026 ICML Reproduction Challenge, where over 1,200 participants and their AI agents successfully reproduced or falsified around 2,000 conference papers (1/3 of all papers).
The event generated 13k repositories and 3TB of artifacts, marking what is likely the biggest attempt to reproduce a major AI conference to date. The winners were announced and awarded in a recent livestream.
