The Danish government has announced strict measures to combat AI cheating in upper secondary schools, according to The Guardian. Education Minister Magnus Heunicke stated that AI cheating is a growing challenge requiring immediate action.

Under the new rules, students aged 16 to 19 must orally defend their written essays. Additionally, schools will be required to monitor students during written assignments under controlled conditions, including tracking computer screen usage during exams. The government is also preparing a comprehensive national strategy for AI use across the education sector.
