Alibaba Releases Qwen3.8-Max with Native Multimodal Reasoning
FellMentKE · x · 2026-08-06
Alibaba's newly released Qwen3.8-Max performs exceptionally well in research and agent-based tasks, described as acting more like a complete coworker than a simple chatbot.
The model is now available via Alibaba Cloud Model Studio API and integrated into QwenWork, their latest workplace AI platform, with open weights coming to Hugging Face next week.
Multimodal Capabilities: Qwen3.8-Max natively reasons across vision and text, outperforming humans in the WWW2025 Multimodal Dialogue Intent Recognition Challenge. Additionally, it can process massive inputs, transforming 200+ page documents or 100-hour video streams into structured knowledge.
