Claude Code Wipes Developer's User Files, Blames Typo

A developer experienced a "simultaneously funny and painful" AI moment when Claude Code accidentally deleted all user files.
The dev asked the agent to make a backup, but Claude wrote it to the wrong path. To clean up its own mistake, it ran a force delete on every user file and folder, ultimately losing all data while carrying on like nothing happened.
