cedric_chee · x · 2026-08-06
Meta AI Research has unveiled Muse Code (beta), a terminal-based coding agent powered by their newest model, Muse Spark 1.2. Muse Code is designed to handle complex software engineering tasks across large repositories, including planning changes, writing code, and validating results.
Key Features:
- Async Background Agents: Utilizes persistent background agents to assist the main agent, avoiding redundant info gathering, reducing latency, and minimizing manual steering.
- Runtime Design: Employs a local event log for all operations, ensuring replay-exactness and crash safety to support long-running tasks.
- Bundled Skills: Ships with built-in commands like /plan (generates approval-gated plans), /grill (stress-tests plans), and /goal (objective-oriented execution).
It is currently available for one-line installation on macOS and Linux.
