While many imagine AGI will mean the end of bureaucracy, a new essay argues that as technology advances and society grows more complex, bureaucracy will inevitably grow with it.
The author suggests that collective action in the AGI era will still rely heavily on bureaucratic structures. The real question is how AI can be leveraged to build better bureaucracy—making systems more capable, accountable, and responsive.
