Opinion: The AGI Era Won't Eliminate Bureaucracy, It Will Likely Amplify It

Pax Machina Magazine published a new essay challenging the common assumption that AGI will result in less bureaucracy.
The article points out that historically, as technology has advanced and society has grown more complex, bureaucracy has actually expanded. Therefore, the AGI future will likely remain bureaucratic, perhaps even more so than today. The author argues that the real question is not how to eliminate it, but how to leverage AI to make bureaucracy more capable, accountable, and responsive.
