AMD Q2 Earnings: $800M Compute CapEx is a Sound Investment, Overblown Takes

A semiconductor analyst shared insights on AMD's Q2 earnings, arguing that market concerns over AMD's CapEx are overblown.

He noted that AMD's $800M investment in compute infrastructure and the Helios buildout is very sensible and essentially peanuts compared to hyperscaler investments. Additionally, despite a beat-and-raise quarter, the stock fell, but this is simply because the stock had already run up into earnings, making it a normal market reaction rather than a fundamental issue.
