Hark Launches Handoff Preview: A Web-Native Computer Use Agent

Hark announced that its Computer Use Agent (CUA), Handoff, is entering research preview. The system is designed to handle the open-ended, unpredictable nature of the internet to complete end-to-end tasks for users.
- Background: Based on nearly 3 million screen minutes, users spend 74.9% of their time in browsers. However, fewer than 1 in 1,000 websites offer public APIs, and frequently used sites like LinkedIn and Walmart have none.
- Challenges: Building a web agent is akin to building a robot for an unpredictable environment. The internet is hostile, filled with bot-blocking, pop-ups, and ads, with every session introducing new friction.
- Vision: Handoff aims to access all corners of the internet via a browser just like a human, acting as a personal intelligence that takes over tedious web tasks.
