michellechen · x · 2026-08-05
Cloudflare announced new features for its AI Gateway, combining identity verification with behavioral analytics to help enterprises monitor and govern internal AI usage.
Key features include:
- Identity-aware AI Gateway: Now in open beta. Integrates with Cloudflare Access to attach a verified identity to every API request, putting a name behind usage spikes.
- User Insights: Generally available at no additional cost. Turns traffic flowing through the gateway into a behavioral baseline to identify individuals or agents breaking from normal patterns.
- Central Control: Acts as a central plane to route and observe enterprise calls to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, etc., preventing billing anomalies and data leaks.
