Cloudflare Open Sources Cloudflare OS for Enterprise Agents

Cloudflare has open-sourced Cloudflare OS, an enterprise AI platform providing secure agent workspaces and internal app building. The platform has been used daily by thousands of non-engineering employees at Cloudflare to automate tasks, create documents, and analyze data.
Cloudflare OS consists of three core components:
- Agent Workspace: Grounded in company-specific context and skills, offering an isolated runtime to research, generate dynamic documents, and build collaborative apps.
- Security & Governance Framework: Agents start with zero access. They must request specific resource bindings (e.g., env.PROJECT) via Gatekeepers, keeping credentials isolated from the generated code.
- Modifiable App Platform: Employees can build, share, and continuously modify internal apps connected to live data.
The platform supports existing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers via MCP Server Portals, solving data access challenges in multi-agent environments.
