An engineer at an AI startup shared the current pain points of building AI agents on Reddit. While personal productivity agents (like auto-summarizing messages or triaging bugs) are highly valuable, the setup process is overly complex (e.g., configuring containerized execution and escape prevention), paradoxically reducing efficiency.

To solve this, they introduced Kavela, a cloud-based agent builder. Users can define agent skills, context, and system prompts in natural language to easily create workflows like automated research publishing or website deployment to Cloudflare.
