As RAM prices soar, Microsoft has quietly wiped all traces of its 32GB RAM recommendations for Windows 11 from its Windows Learning Center.

The company had aggressively pushed 16GB as the baseline and 32GB as the worry-free zone over the past year. However, Microsoft is now selling new 8GB Surface devices that fail to meet its own Copilot+ PC memory standards, reflecting the reality that Windows 11 has become too heavy for the PCs most people actually buy.
