Tech Giants Fund $23M AI Training Program for Teachers
nordicinst · x · 2026-08-05
The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) has partnered with major tech companies to launch a $23 million AI training initiative. The program aims to train 400,000 educators over five years, helping them understand AI's benefits and risks while shaping its classroom use.
With many schools lacking clear AI guidelines, teachers are often left to navigate the technology on their own. While some educators initially view AI as a threat to their profession, they increasingly recognize the need to master it.
