Mixedbread introduced a new feature called "Auto file contextualization" to solve the loss of global context when chunking long documents.
When enabled, every chunk is embedded with global context. For instance, querying financial growth can accurately locate and associate specific data points. The company reports a 34% improvement in context-aware retrieval, ranking #1 on the ConTEB benchmark.
