Elon Musk stated that the best way to use Grok is via the new Grok Build command-line interface. xAI simultaneously launched the Grok 4.5 model to power the tool, describing it as fast, low-cost, and highly suited for real-world coding and engineering tasks.

- Plan Mode: For complex tasks, the model generates an architectural plan first. All edits are blocked until user approval and presented as clean diffs.
- Adaptive Skills: Supports AGENTS.md, plugins, hooks, and MCP servers out of the box. Users can capture any session as a new skill using the /skillify command.
