A new publication named Pax Machina has launched, backed by an editorial board of prominent AI safety researchers and philosophers.
The publication argues that while much attention is paid to aligning and regulating AI, there is a flawed assumption that our current social institutions are fixed. Its goal is to seed rigorous debate about what new institutional frameworks are needed in a world where humans coexist with powerful AI, planning to release concrete proposals and counterproposals.
