New API Endpoint Accuracy Index Reveals Providers Sacrifice Model Accuracy for Speed
lqiao · x · 2026-08-05
Artificial Analysis has launched the Endpoint Accuracy Index to measure how well serverless API endpoints preserve the accuracy of open-weights models. The initial coverage includes GLM-5.2, gpt-oss-120b, and DeepSeek V4 Pro, with Kimi K3 coming soon.
The report points out that many API providers trade off accuracy to optimize for speed and cost by quantizing weights and writing custom kernels, sometimes simply shipping bugs. This index empowers developers to choose providers based on accuracy rather than just price and speed.
