AI Writes Its First Complete Genome, Treating DNA as a Natural Language

Eric Nguyen, co-founder of Radical Numerics, shared his groundbreaking views on the intersection of AI and biology: AI has generated the first entirely synthetic bacteriophage genome that has never existed in nature.
He pointed out that public databases currently hold more DNA data than text on the entire internet, yet the models used to decipher them remain mostly rudimentary, comparable to linear regression.
