NVIDIA Open-Sources Alpamayo 2 Reasoning Model for Autonomous Driving

NVIDIA has officially released and open-sourced Alpamayo 2 Super, its frontier reasoning model for autonomous vehicles. Unlike traditional systems that merely react, this model is designed to understand and reason through complex situations before acting.
The model aims to serve as a powerful reasoning backbone for robotaxis, trucks, delivery vans, and the broader spectrum of mobile robots. Released under the OpenMDW-1.1 license, it allows teams to inspect, fine-tune, and commercially deploy the system. Jensen Huang emphasized that open models advance safety through collective scrutiny, reiterating that the next wave of AI is robotics.
