diri: Open Source Native macOS Orchestrator for Coding Agents
almmaasoglu · x · 2026-08-05
Developer cristicrtu has open-sourced diri, a native macOS orchestrator designed specifically for coding agents.
- Parallel Agents: Supports running Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, and plain shells in parallel across git worktrees or remote hosts.
- State Persistence: Uses tmux-like persistence; closing the app or restarting the daemon never kills a session. Conversations are brought back instantly upon reopening.
- Architecture: The desktop app is built with Rust + GPUI, paired with a headless Swift daemon that owns PTYs and child agent processes.
- MCP Support: Features an MCP server allowing agents to spawn and orchestrate other agents.
