AgenC Core Overhaul: 32x Faster Patch Processing, Enhanced Memory and Recovery
tetsuoai · x · 2026-08-05
AgenC Core underwent a 42-PR overhaul focusing on reliability and performance.
- Performance leaps: Patch processing dropped from 356ms to 11ms for a 32,000-hunk patch (32x faster). It can replay 1 million stored events in 18.6 seconds and cancel a 100,000-job tree in 295ms.
- Memory & Compaction: Fixed memory search to find important older records instead of just the newest. Compaction preserves all 16 important facts while reducing text by 74%.
- Editor Integration: Transformed the terminal interface into a combined coding-agent and persistent Neovim editor workspace. Users can switch between Agent and Editor tabs seamlessly, with proposed edits appearing beside Neovim without touching the real buffer until accepted.
