E2B signs letter advocating open models for a safer AI ecosystem
badphilosopher · x · 2026-08-05
The E2B team emphasized that open-weight models make the AI ecosystem safer and more secure, giving businesses sovereignty over their critical AI infrastructure and data. While closed models remain powerful, open-source is the right path to avoid black-box risks.
To that end, E2B joined other companies in signing a public letter aimed at ensuring the United States maintains its global leadership in open-source software and open-weight models.
