Fields Medalist: AI is Disrupting Math Research at Incredible Speed

Fields Medalist Jacob Tsimerman recently shared his views on AI development. He believes that math is perhaps being hit faster by AI because it is fundamentally a pure thought activity.
He noted that AI systems have already solved many important mathematical conjectures independently. He predicts that very soon, AI will become robustly better than humans at the rest of what mathematicians do.
