OpenBMB Launches Dual-Agent System to Automate Supercomputing Acceleration

OpenBMB has released a hardcore agent project, ForgeStencil. It uses two collaborative LLM Agents to automatically transform a Stencil optimization idea into a verified acceleration patch for real-world scientific software.
Traditionally, Stencil optimization requires scarce PhD experts to spend months doing manual work: inventing speedup strategies and safely integrating them into legacy software with hundreds of thousands of lines. This process is extremely expensive and slow in fields requiring massive supercomputing iterations like weather forecasting and oil exploration.
ForgeStencil's dual-AI architecture automates this: one AI focuses on strategy generation by trial and error, while the other handles implementation and verification, effectively replacing expensive manual labor.
