Fireworks AI CEO: Enterprises Should Focus on Proprietary Data, AGI is a Distraction

Lin Qiao, CEO of Fireworks AI, shared her perspective on AGI during an interview on the Weights & Biases podcast. She pointed out that while many companies are pouring massive funds into training giant black-box models, the true enterprise moat actually lies within their own proprietary data.
She argued that the future belongs to "specialized intelligence" rather than Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The discussion also highlighted the massive scale of Fireworks AI's platform, which currently processes over 40 trillion tokens per day.
