Tactile sensor startup SuperTouch raises millions in angel funding for robot dexterous hands

Shenzhen SuperTouch Sensing Technology, founded in July 2025, focuses on high-precision tactile sensors for robot dexterous hands. Within 5 months, it completed a multi-million yuan angel round led by Shenzhen Nanshan Strategic Emerging Industry Investment, with participation from Leaguer Venture Capital, Shenzhen Angel, and TusStar. The company has two product lines: fingertip tactile sensors and data acquisition tactile sensors. Its core HSP fingertip sensor achieves linear accuracy error below 0.2% and batch consistency error under 1%, with monthly capacity near 5,000 units and initial shipments to leading companies.
Founder Li Yanhui, a mechanical engineering master's from South China University of Technology, spent 10 years at an Apple supply chain company. He chose to build his own production line to ensure consistency, using a hybrid piezoresistive and strain gauge approach for multi-dimensional sensing. The company prioritizes consistency over precision, as robot training requires high-quality tactile data.
The industry is still early, with multiple technical routes (piezoresistive, capacitive, Hall, visuotactile). Piezoresistive and capacitive lead in mass production, while visuotactile is still exploring. Li predicts standardization within 3-5 years and industry consolidation favoring those who master manufacturing.
