OpenAI Faces Over 50 Lawsuits Since 2023, Leading AI Industry

The Future of Life Institute has launched Exhibit AI, an interactive litigation tracker designed to document the growing number of legal cases within the AI industry.
According to the tracker, OpenAI has been involved in more than 50 lawsuits since 2023, more than any other AI company. The dataset covers hundreds of cases, claims, and law firms, and will be continuously updated to help journalists, researchers, lawyers, and those affected by AI harms navigate the legal landscape.
