UK-based startup OLIX has secured $312 million in a Series B round, achieving a valuation of $3.3 billion. Founded by James Dacombe in London in 2024, the company focuses on building infrastructure for frontier AI inference.
Its X-1 platform utilizes specialized chips connected by light to enhance the efficiency of running large AI models. The funding round saw participation from Fundomo, Arm, and Hudson River Trading, with the company planning to deliver its first systems to customers in the second half of 2027.
