Claude Max Subscription Hit with Ghost Usage and Charges While Idle

A Reddit user reported experiencing abnormal billing and usage drain on their Claude account while it was completely idle. The user discovered they had been unknowingly subscribed to the Max 20x plan and charged for auto-recharged extra usage.
While monitoring the Usage page without interacting with the app, the session usage mysteriously spiked from 11% to 100% within 30 minutes. Furthermore, the account's spending limit was inexplicably set to an absurd €2,000. The user has contacted Anthropic support but has yet to receive a human response.
