Robot North to Work Full Shifts at Real DQ Store in Shanghai

SharpaRobotics announced that its robot, North, will step behind the counter at a real Dairy Queen store in Shanghai this August. The robot will complete a full shift handling real customers, taking orders, and serving ice cream.
The company emphasized that North is designed to augment rather than replace human workers. It acts as a substitute to add capacity during understaffed shifts or for repetitive tasks, freeing up human employees for more valuable work.
