OpenAI says Apple emailed the wrong person in its lawsuit over file access
ChrisGPT · x · 2026-08-04
OpenAI accuses Apple of mishandling its lawsuit against the company, saying the outside lawyers emailed the wrong person after confusing two Asian surnames, then claimed a conversation with OpenAI’s General Counsel that OpenAI says never happened.
The post argues Apple’s injunction request is careless and aggressive, and says Apple also failed to mention that its employees allegedly asked the former employee to access those same files after he left.
