OpenAI will retire GPT-5.4 from Codex on August 31

OpenAI’s Codex is retiring GPT-5.4 and GPT-5.4 mini on August 31, replacing them with gpt-5.4 → gpt-5.6-terra and gpt-5.4-mini → gpt-5.6-luna. Users are told to update workspace defaults, saved model settings, managed configurations, custom agents, and scheduled tasks before the cutoff.
