AMD pre-call read says the real test is 70% server CPU growth and MI450 timing
tengyanAI · x · 2026-08-04
The post argues AMD’s upcoming earnings call is less about the reported quarter and more about two thesis questions: whether server CPU revenue is really growing at or above the guided 70% YoY pace, and whether MI450 customer deployments can still start in H2 2026 rather than slipping into 2027.
It also says the market has largely already priced in the $11.3B revenue number, while Helios and Anthropic commitments may matter for sentiment but are not yet modeled as segment revenue.
